Enumeration of Flood-hit Within a Week

CHENNAI:  The ongoing enumeration of flood affected families in Chennai, Kancheepuram, Tiruvallur and Cuddalore is expected to be completed within the next six days. So far around 1.5 lakh families have been covered by the officials.

In Chennai, on the first day, 3,000 revenue officials drawn from 21 districts commenced the work. On the third day on Thursday, 1,000 more officials from various districts joined the exercise. Name of head of the family, spouse name, mobile number, bank account number of any one of the family members (if any), whether flood had entered into their house or not, whether they owned a hutment or a permanent house, whether the damage was partial or total, etc., are the information sought by the officials from the affected families.

Similarly, in Tiruvallur  and Kancheepuram districts enumeration work is being conducted. In Cuddalore district  enumeration is likely to completed shortly.
