Several Suburban Trains Cancelled on Weekend

CHENNAI: The Southern Railway has announced partial and complete cancellation of several suburban train services between Chennai Beach and Chengalpattu due to line block and power block to facilitate engineering works between Vandalur and Guduvancheri on Saturday and Sunday.

According to a release, Chennai Beach-Tirumalpur EMU local, scheduled to leave Chennai Beach at 10.50 will be partially cancelled between Tambaram and Tirumalpur;  Chennai Beach-Chengalpattu EMU local, scheduled to leave Chennai Beach at 11.02,  will be partially cancelled between Tambaram and Chengalpattu; Chennai Beach-Chengalpattu EMU local, scheduled to leave Chennai Beach at 11.55, will be partially cancelled between Tambaram-Chengalpattu; and Chennai Beach-Chengalpattu EMU local, scheduled to leave Chennai Beach at 12.30, will be partially cancelled between Tambaram and Chengalpattu on Saturday.

Chengalpattu-Chennai Beach EMU local, scheduled to leave Chengalpattu at 11.45; Chengalpattu-Chennai Beach EMU local, scheduled to leave Chengalpattu at 13.50; Chengalpattu-Chennai Beach EMU local, scheduled to leave Chengalpattu at 14.25; will be fully cancelled on December 12.

On Sunday, Chengalpattu-Chennai Beach EMU local, scheduled to leave Chengalpattu at 11.45; Chengalpattu-Chennai Beach EMU local, scheduled to leave Chengalpattu at 14.25; Chengalpattu-Chennai Beach EMU local, are among the trains that are fully cancelled.
