Is This Job For You?

Calling all Research Assistants for a Job at IT for Change

CHENNAI: Why is net neutrality an issue development practitioners should care about? What are the key concerns for women’s rights in the Internet-mediated world? Why is Free Basics not the answer to digital inclusion? If these questions interest you, IT for Change (www.itforchange.net) can help you explore them further. The job profile involves supporting ongoing research projects, undertaking dissemination of research findings, organising national and international meetings and workshops, supporting networking and advocacy efforts, and assisting the production of in-house publications. Anyone who can work on one or more of the following thematic areas: e-governance, women’s rights and ICTs, and the political economy of emerging new media and platform architecture can apply. But you need to have a reasonable theoretical grounding in critical theory, development studies, and familiarity with media theory. Knowledge of one or more Indian languages is desirable. Email your resume with a writing sample to jobs@itforchange.net by 15 January 2016. For details, visit http://www.itforchange.net/  ENS
