CHENNAI: The chairman and managing director of Dr Agarwal Eye Hospital, Dr Amar Agarwal, in a conference, commemorating the 58th anniversary of the hospital held in the city, said the hospital will open its 200th branch by 2020 across the world to take eye-care to the masses.
Speaking on the sidelines of the first PDEK (Pre Descemet’s Endothelial Keratoplasty) conference on Sunday, Dr Agarwal said, the hospital will be opening two more branches in Chennai and one in Tiruchy and 10 more branches across Tamil Nadu by 2020. “We would like to spread our wings across the world, and we are planning to open more branches in Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Odisha, Saudi Arabia and Cambodia,” he added. Over 300 doctors participated in the conference that also witnessed Dr Agarwal performing live PDEK surgery.
