Youth Wins Rs 50,000 for Composing Tune

A tune composed by Abhijith Ramasami was selected as the best Vodafone ‘Chennaiyil Thiruvaiyaru Caller-tune’  recently. The tune was selected by the judges from among 500 entries in the competition. The ‘Chennaiyil Thiruvaiyaru Caller-tune’ contest was conducted by Vodafone India and Lakshman Sruthi Musicals for Vodafone customers in Tamil Nadu, and caught the attention of music aficionados around the state. Abhijith’s tune, for which he won a prize of `50,000, reflects the heritage of Indian music. Jere Franklin won the second place and received a prize of `30,000, while Raj Aryan won the third place, with a prize of `20,000. The winners also took home a bunch of Vodafone goodies. This was Vodafone’s maiden association with the annual ‘Chennaiyil Thiruvaiyaru’ event, which attracts some of the most talented and renowned musicians to Chennai. The winning caller tune is available to all Vodafone customers for free for one month.
