CHENNAI: ICSI Convocation for 114 Members

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) organised ICSI Convocation 2015 –Southern Region for the 114 newly qualified members. Dr Prafulla Agnihotri,  director, Indian Institute of Management, Tiruchirappalli awarded the Associate Membership of the Institute to recognise the achievements of the  students at ICSI in the presence of Vice President ICSI MamtaBinani, Central council members Ramasubramaniam C, Ahalada Rao V, SIRC ChairmanNagenda D Rao.

Free Respiratory Check-ups

In an initiative to raise awareness on causes and triggers of asthma and its ramifications on health, ‘Breathefree – clinic-on-wheels’ was flagged off in Pammal. The 10-day camp will conclude on January 3. The free asthma check up  will be conducted in the interiors of Chennai, Guduvanchery, Manali, Minjur, Mathur, Gummudipoondi and Redhills. Equipped with diagnostic tools, educational materials and a team of expert counselors, the Breathefree Yatra will offer free respiratory check-ups. 

Farm Short Film, Song Contest

TAFE Limited’s ‘Be a #FarmDost’ initiative is extending its support to IIT Madras’ - IIT for Villages initiative which works towards bridging the urban-rural divide and instilling social consciousness among students. There will be a short-film making contest and a #FarmDost Anthem contest. In the first contest, the participants are required to make a 5-10 minute short film presenting farming as a source of joy and depicting how farming has always been and will always remain the backbone of the country. In the second contest, participants are required to compose an inspirational Anthem (Music) of 3-4  minutes. For more details about the contests, visit saarang.org.
