A Guide for Parents of the Visually Challenged

CHENNAI: On the 206th birth anniversary of Louis Braille, the inventor of Braille script, the All India Confederation of the Blind (AICB) released a handbook in Tamil titled Annai Valarpinilae, The book is a guide for parents of visually challenged children to train them in various life skills. With proper illustration, sketches and photographs, the book is presented in simple conversational style.  

The Hindi edition, titled Maa Se Maa Tak (mother to mother), had already been released by the Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment. The confederation also brings Mangaiyar Malar and Chutti Vikatan in Braille each month for the benefit of visually challenged women and children.
