Qualified Nurses Now Opt for Clinical Care

CHENNAI: Speaking at the Nurses Day Celebrations conducted at Sri Ramachandra University on Tuesday, PV Vijayaraghavan, dean, Education, said, “With nursing becoming a highly specialised field, more and more qualified and skilled nurses are now opting out for healthcare nursing,”  The event was conducted to mark the birthday of Florence Nightingale.   He added that MSc Nursing students are keen in joining  healthcare. Many have shown interest in doing research. JSN Murthy, vice chancellor said nursing faculty and health care nurses are more integrated.  KV Somasundaram, dean of faculties, Prasanna Baby, principal, faculty of Nursing and R Suseela, deputy nursing superintendent  were among those who participated in the event.
