Dr Mohan Rajan Felicitated

CHENNAI:The Sankara Nethralaya Group of Institutions felicitated leading ophthalmologist, Dr Mohan Rajan of Rajan Eye Care Hospital, for being conferred with the prestigious Fellowship of Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow, on Wednesday. “All doctors need to have compassion — a quality that Rajan has had in abundance since childhood,” said Mrs YG Parthasarathy, at the event. Dr SS Badrinath, chairman emeritus, Sankara Netralaya Group of Institutions, thanked Dr Mohan for his efforts to mobilise funds for noble causes. “It is something about the combination of being part of an alumni of PSBB, Loyola, MMC and Sankara Netralaya that one gets the opportunity to work and imbibe the qualities of visionaries like Dr SS Badrinath in the field of Ophthalmology and Dr Mrs YGP in education,” said Dr Mohan. Iraianbu IAS, Principal Secretary / Commissioner, Department of Economics and Statistics, Government of Tamil Nadu, was the chief guest and Dr K Jagadeesan of KJ Hospitals & Postgraduate Centre, Chennai, was present, along with doctors and staff of Sankara Netralaya.
