CHENNAI: Mirage Film Institute in T Nagar is offering a part-time course in film acting. Actor Dasan David, who has over 15 years of experience in Tamil film, television and radio, will coach the students. The acting course, which will be conducted in separate weekday and weekend batches, prepares students to pursue a successful acting career in the film and television industry.
Students will learn to act through many techniques and methods such as visualization, voice modulation, scene improvisation, method acting, character building and acting for camera. They will also learn to deliver monologues, which will help them understand characters in depth. As a part of the course, a portfolio is made for each student by a professional photographer, free of cost. Also, the students will rehearse and act in a short film that will be shot towards the end of the course, which will help the students face the camera with confidence.
