CHENNAI: It is time for your taste buds to go on a roller coaster ride. Well, this time the ride is from California to Mexico! California Pizza Kitchen is rolling out its new menu Mexfornia, across the country, from today.

The menu is a fusion of rich California ingredients and tangy Mexican flavours. You can choose your pick from an exclusive range of appetizers, pizza, pasta, speciality and dessert.

Now, who doesn’t love to try out food with a twist to it? The fusion of food from two cultures requires the correct elements cooked with care and technique. Fusion food is the art of cooking that brings together not just different cuisines or cooking styles, but also assimilating drastically dissimilar cultures and traditions.

Some of the specialitis on the Mexifornia menu include Sonora Pizza and  Chicken Asada Pizza — traditional thin crust cheesy pizzas loaded with tomato salsa, roasted corn, creamy avocado, black bean salsa and roasted peppers — and California style Chimichanga — a crispy fried dish with stuffing.

The menu also offers mouth watering desserts like Mexican Caramel Banana and Chocolate Mousse.

To enjoy this carnival of flavours, visit any California Pizza Kitchen outlet in the city from May 21 to June 21.

The pizzas are priced from Rs 305.
