Jaya Launches Total Solution Project for Commercial Taxes Department

CHENNAI: Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa has launched the Total Solution Project for the Commercial Taxes Department established at a cost of Rs.179.98 crore, with a view to improve the tax management.

With this, filing of annual returns by dealers can be done only through online facility and not through any other means. Through this scheme, all the 554 offices of the Commerical Taxes Department will be provided redundant internet connectivity to ensure uninterrupted service and these computerised system is connected to the State Data Centre. 

All softwares required for this facility have been installed by the Tata Consultancy Limited.  Services like registeration certification, C Form and other Forms, Check post services will be introduced online.
