First Sale of Oppo F1 in Chennai

First sale of Oppo F1 was received by Tamil film actress Lakshmi Menon at the showroom. Signifying the growing importance of mobile photography globally, Oppo Mobiles, a leading brand, is targeting India for its growth. The emphasis is on sustained focus on mobile photography via Oppo camera phone. The first sale of recently launched the selfie expert Oppo F1 was held at its showroom in Chennai. First customer on the occasion was actor Lakshmi Menon who became the proud owner of the newly launched Selfie Expert Oppo F1.

Financial Lecture at Great Lakes

Delivering an inaugural address at the 6th annual Great Lakes-Union Bank conference on financial stability and economic growth, R Gandhi, deputy governor, RBI, shared his views on fiscal instability, system regulation, challenges and the way forward. “The global financial crisis had brought in paradigm shifts in many areas like regulation, governance and mind-set, amongst others, all in pursuance of a sustainable financial system that should be sub-serving the real sector rather than self-serving.” The regulators cannot afford to miss the woods for the trees. Effective regulation aims at understanding and guarding against the big risks, going beyond mere compliance with increasingly complex rules, he said.  

Balalaya Holds Sports Meet

Balalaya and Primary Section  conducted its sports day on the school premises in a grand manner. It was a gala  show presented by the children. The chief guest AR Chandra Bose, a national volleyball referee, declared the sports meet open. There were entertainment programmes which regaled the audience. The winners and runners-up were given medals with certificates. Avikshit Vijay Viswanth of Class 4 was awarded a cash prize of `1,000 for his extraordinary performance in sports.  

Prayer for Students Facing Exams

A special prayer for exam going students was conducted in Madras Christian College HS School at Chetpet. It is being held for the past several years by the evangelist Paul Dhinakaran. Thousands of students from the city and adjoining areas participated in this meeting. School principals and teachers took part in this meeting. Samuel Dhinakaran interviewed students who had succeeded in facing various exams  and they shared their experiences to the gathering.
