CHENNAI: The leaders of various political parties attended the wedding on Wednesday of Dr S Suganathan, son of Tamil Nadu BJP president Tamilisai Soundararajan. The Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa sent a greeting message and a gift to the newly wed couple. The BJP president Amit Shah who was scheduled to attend the wedding could not come because of important work in Delhi.
Those who attended the marriage included the Meghalaya Governor V Shanmuganathan, the BJP leaders including party's national general secretary Muralidhar Rao, the BJP national general secretary (organisation), Ramlal, L Ganesan and H V Hande, the PMK president GK Mani and the party's chief ministerial candidate, Anbumani Ramadoss and industrialist VG Santosam.
In the evening, the DMK president M Karunanidhi, DMK treasurer MK Stalin and Kanimozhi, TMC founder GK Vasan, DMDK founder Vijaykant's wife Premalata, TNCC president EVKS Elangovan, Congress leader S Thirunavukkarasar, VCK leader Thol Thirumavalavan, NJP leader AC Shanmugam, IJK party founder T R Pachamuthu, poet Vairamuthu and many others attended.
