Taking suo-motu cognizance of the news report on Swathi's murder, the TN State Human Rights Commission (SHRC), headed by its chairperson Justice T Meenakumari, issued notices to the Chief Security Commissioner, Railway Protection Force, the Inspector General of Police, Railways and the City Police Commissioner, calling for a
report from them on the case, within two weeks.
