Captain Sets Action Plan Rolling

Premalatha to tour all corporations across the State starting Friday until April 5, with the other constituents to the alliance actively pitching in; list of party candidates for 124 seats to be announced during a grand event in the city mid-April by Vijayakant

CHENNAI:  Not wasting anytime after inking a deal with Vijayakant’s DMDK, PWF coordinator Vaiko has set the action plan rolling for the upcoming Assembly elections in the State.

Premalatha, wife of DMDK founder Vijayakanth, is set to tour all corporations across the State starting Friday (March 25) until April 5. “Representatives from the four parties in PWF and cadres will all gather and extend our support when Premalatha tours the State,” Vaiko told mediapersons.

The MDMK leader and other leaders of the PWF-Thol Thirumavalavan (VCK), G.Ramakrishnan (CPI-M) and R Mutharasan (CPI) were in attendance at the launch of the digital edition of Theekadhir, brought out by the CPI(M).

Prof Ravindran, DMDK’s literary wing secretary, was sent as a representative by Vijayakant.

According to Vaiko, the DMDK president has promised to send representatives to the upcoming PWF conferences to be held at Tiruchy on Saturday. Further, senior DMDK leader V C Chandrakumar will be attending conferences at 28, 29 and 30 this month in southern districts across the State.

“We have started our campaign on war footing,” Vaiko said. “Our election manifesto is underway”

The MDMK leader indulged in a vanity parade while expressing how he was always confident of Vijayakant being part of their alliance. “Vijayakant is our CM candidate. He will be campaigning across the state after we prepare a list of candidates who will be contesting the elections,” Vaiko told mediapersons. A grand event is planned in Chennai in mid-April in which Vijayakant would participate and the contestants list would also be released then, he added.
