Jaya Writes to Modi over Missing Tamil

CHENNAI: Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Saturday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to trace Raghavendran Ganeshan of Tamil Nadu, who went missing in Brussels, Belgium, after the recent blasts there.

“I request you to instruct the Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Embassy in Brussels to provide the family all necessary assistance to trace Ganeshan at the earliest. This assistance would be of great help and solace to the very worried family,” the Chief Minister said in her letter to Modi.

Stating that Ganeshan had been reported missing after the blasts and that his family had appealed to her to help trace him, the Chief Minister said Ganeshan from Tamil Nadu was the eldest son of his parents.

“His young wife is now in Chennai after delivering the couple’s first child. The whole family is extremely anxious to hear a word about him and to know his whereabouts and safety,” the three-time Cheif Minister said in her letter to Modi.
