Ex-CBFC Man Gets Jail

CHENNAI: The Central Bureau of Investigation trial court on Wednesday sentenced the then Regional Officer of Central Board of Film Certification and his wife to undergo rigorous imprisonment in a disproportionate assets case filed by the Central agency in 2010.

The Special Judge for CBI cases sentenced D. Rajasekar, (An Indian Forest Service officer), then Regional Officer, Central Board of Film Certification, Chennai, to undergo two years’ rigorous imprisonment and his wife Yogalakshmi, then Assistant Professor, Rice Research Station, Tirur, Thiruvallur district (Tamilnadu),  to undergo one-year rigorous imprisonment. He  also ordered confiscation of  disproportionate assets of Rajasekar and Yogalakshmi, worth `8.7 lakh.
