Trains to be cancelled for engineering works

To facilitate engineering works, many local trains have been cancelled on June 24. Melmaruvathur - Villupuram - Melmaruvathur MEMU passenger will be cancelled fully.

CHENNAI: To facilitate engineering works, many local trains have been cancelled on June 24. Melmaruvathur - Villupuram - Melmaruvathur MEMU passenger will be cancelled fully. Chengalpattu - Beach EMU suburban trains will be cancelled between 8. 10 am and 7. 25 pm. Tirumalpur - Beach EMU suburban trains, scheduled to leave Tirumalpur at 8 am, 10.25 am, 1.45 and 5.10 pm, have also been cancelled.

Tambaram-Melmaruvathur - Beach EMU suburban train, scheduled to leave Melmaruvathur at 3.30 pm, will not be operated. Local trains to Chengalpattu, Tambaram and Melmaruvathur will run up to Tambaram. The Tiruchendur - Egmore Chendur Express, scheduled to reach Egmore at 11.25 am and Karaikudi - Egmore Pallavan Express, scheduled to reach Egmore at 12.10 pm,  will reach Egmore late by 70 minutes. Vaigai Express scheduled to reach Egmore at 2.35 pm will reach Egmore at 3.35 pm.

The Egmore - Madurai Vaigai Express, will be rescheduled to leave late at 2 pm, as against the scheduled time of 1.40 pm. Egmore - Karaikudi Pallavan Express, will leave Egmore at 4 pm, instead of 3.45 pm. Chengalpattu - Kacheguda Express, scheduled to leave Chengalpattu at 3.35 pm and Chengalpattu - Kakinada Port Circar Express, scheduled to leave Chengalpattu at 4 pm, will leave late by three hours. The Pandian Express will leave Egmore at 10. 40 pm, instead of 9.40 pm.

‘Expedite rly projects’
PMK youth wing president Anbumani Ramadoss called on  Railway Minister Piyush Goyal in Delhi and urged him to expedite projects in the State.
