Over 30 train services cancelled in Chennai suburban sections today

 Local trains leaving Velachery at 10.30 pm, 10.50 pm, 11.10 pm,  to Avadi and Chennai Beach are fully cancelled.

CHENNAI: Southern Railway has cancelled over 30 train services in Chennai suburban sections on Friday to facilitate the engineering works related to laying of third and fourth lines between Chennai Beach and Korukkupet. 

Chennai Beach - Velachery local leaving Chennai Beach at 9.40 pm will be cancelled. Local trains leaving Velachery at 10.30 pm, 10.50 pm, 11.10 pm,  to Avadi and Chennai Beach are fully cancelled. Chennai Beach - Tambaram locals leaving Beach at 8.28 pm, 8.44 pm and 9.30 pm also will not run. 

Short termination

Chengalpattu - Chennai Beach local trains leaving Chengalpattu at 9.10 pm, 10.15 pm and 11.10 pm and Tambaram - Chennai Beach trains leaving Tambaram at 10.25 pm, 10.45 pm and 11.30 pm on Friday will run up to Park. 

Three passenger specials will be operated from Chennai Park to Tambaram on Friday for the benefit of passengers.

Chennai Park - Tambaram Passenger special will leave Park at 10.45 pm, 12.20 am and 12.45 am (on Saturday) 

Partially cancelled

Trains leaving Gummidipoondi, Pattabiram Military Siding and Avadi stations at 8.20 pm, 8.35 pm and 4.10 am respectively to Velachery will run up to Chennai Beach.
