Modi will not make you Vice President of India: Kejriwal to LG

The AAP chief and Jung have clashed repeatedly on matters of jurisdiction in governing the national capital since the party stormed to power in 2015.

NEW DELHI: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal taunted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Lieutenant Governor Neejab Jung on Monday, alleging that both are scrutinising his government's work by ordering random probes by Anti Corruption Branch and Central Bureau of Investigation without any evidence.  Reacting strongly on Kejrwal, Jung said that he “feel sorry for his paranoia”.

In the letter to Lieutenant Governor, seeking to offer a “small suggestion” as Jung's “younger brother”, Kejriwal went on to write that even if Jung bends rules for Prime Minister, he would not be made the Vice-President of the country.  “Do as much unconstitutional, illegal and anti-people work as you want at the behest of Modiji, but he will never make you the vice president,” he said.

Over this, Lieutenant Governor stated that Kejriwal is state of “delusion of persecution.”

In an acerbic letter, Kejriwal also said, “I want you to know that only yesterday the government has inaugurated a 100-seater medical college. I want to request you to ask your ACB team to lodge an FIR and get it investigated. Kindly also tell Prime Minister Modi to get a raid done on Health  Minister Satyender Jain for committing the crime of completing the  medical college in a record time.”

Applauding his own work done for the welfare of people, Kejriwal said in his letter, “We are working for the well-being of people. No matter how many obstacles you bring in.”

He further stated that he was among a few people who are meant to serve the mankind, “struggle and construct” while the rest are tasked with destructing and putting spanners on every good work. “You and Modiji fulfill your duties. We will be awaiting your and Modiji’s ACB and CBI,” he taunted.

The AAP chief and Jung have clashed repeatedly on matters of jurisdiction in governing the national capital since the party stormed to power in 2015.

Last week, accusing Jung of snooping for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Kejriwal tweeted: “Shocking! LG snooping on CM and ministers. Who visits CM and ministers - LG secretly collecting this information and informing PMO.”

Raj Niwas rubbished the snooping allegations made by Kejriwal.
