The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) hailed the SC verdict in favour of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, calling it the "restoration of democracy" in the national capital.

Taking to Twitter, Kejriwal called the verdict a "big victory for the people of Delhi and a big victory for democracy".

Party leader Saurabh Bhardwaj added in a tweet, "Can Modi ji revoke 3 years 5 months of chaos in Delhi? Will Delhi people forgive BJP for ruining 3 years 5 months?"

National executive member Preeti Menon called for the L-G's resignation, tweeting, "Just imagine.  For three years @narendramodi has strangled democracy by using @LtGovDelhi to thwart and subvert the democratic rights of an elected government? Thank you SC for restoring democracy but these culprits will go unpunished."
