On the eve of World AIDS Day, a local radio channel introduced the stars of today as they fight the odds and live a normal life that otherwise seems impossible, at an interactive session held at the studio.

Famous actor Nikhil Siddharth, who also supports the cause was also in attendance, actively interacting with the participants.

Adorning the new voices on the shows on December 1, they will be encouraged to share the secret behind their positivity. HIV+ people are a part of the same world as everyone else and there is no reason to treat them differently or lose hope.

Speaking on the occasion, Nikhil Siddharth said, “AIDS victims are no different from anyone of us, they are as capable as all of us and they should not be discriminated against. Awareness against the stigma of AIDS has to be spread.” As for his new movie Alasyam Amrutham, which is to be released on Friday, he said, “It’s a super movie, a complete family entertainer and above all its coming from the iconic Rama Naidu and will succeed at the box office.” At the event, one of the participants, overwhelmed, said “There is very little awareness about AIDS and its absolutely wonderful to see Radio Mirchi taking up the cause. I was also very excited to meet my favourite actor Nikhil on this special day.” World AIDS Day, observed December 1 each year, is dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection, in honour of this day Radio Mirchi celebrated the spirit of the people living, overcoming this situation positively.
