HYDERABAD: The Tollywood industry was buzzing with activity on Sunday as elections were conducted for the new office-bearers of the Movie Artistes Association (MAA).

A large number of actors turned up at the venue to cast their votes right from morning.

M Murali Mohan has been unanimously elected as president. This is his third term and he will continue in the position for two years.

K Naga Babu and P Shivakrishna will be the new vice-presidents. Shivaji Raja has been elected treasurer. Ahuthi Prasad has been elected as general secretary. He defeated actor Ganesh Babu. T.S.Vijaychander has been elected as executive vice-president.

Ajay, Ali, Uthej, Venu Madhav, Vinod Bala, Narsing Yadav and Rajiv Kanakala have been elected executive committee members.
