Cops remove provocative stuff from Facebook

HYDERABAD: The cyber crime police have blocked indecent content and morphed photographs of various places of worship of different communities on the social network site Facebook.

 Police said based on the complaints lodged by various persons police removed such content on Facebook with assistance of Facebook staff.

 DCP Crime, J Satyanarayana said that cyber crime police had responded to nine complaints of indecent content and morphed photos on Facebook on Saturday.

“The cyber crime police received several complaints that miscreants were trying to create a rift between communities for selfish gains,” he added.

He appealed to the public to contact cybercrime police on 9490616168/9490616010 or 9490616187.
