HYDERABAD: ICFAI University held its Convocation for the Class of 2012 at its Hyderabad campus on Monday. Degrees were conferred to 798 MBA students of the ICFAI Business School (IBS). The winners were honoured by PadmaVibhushan Dr Prathap C Reddy chairman, Apollo Hospitals Group, the chief guest for the day.

Vidyadhar Reddy Katkuri stood first and also received the Faiyaz Ahmed Khan Memorial Gold Medal (Topper in Finance), second rank was bagged by Puneet Kapoor and he received the Saurabh Sharma Memorial Gold Medal (Topper in Marketing) and Mansi Matelawas was declared as the Best All Rounder.

ICFAI Foundation of Higher Education (IFHE) was declared as a deemed-to-be-university under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, in December 2008. This is the second batch graduating from the deemed-to-be-university. IFHE has three faculties consisting of Management (IBS Hyderabad) offering BBA, MBA, and PhD programs, Science and Technology offering B Tech program and Law offering five year BBA-LLB (Hons) program. The University has faculty strength of 135 and 2305 students. In addition, there are 56 full-time PhD scholars in the area of management.
