HYDERABAD: Minister for Primary Education and SSA, S Sailajanath on Tuesday emphasised the need for conducting library activities in a  befitting manner, which would help public attain knowledge in various fields.

The minister reviewed activities of public libraries with chairpersons and secretaries of Zilla Grandhalaya Samsthas on Tuesday. He stated that support from govt will be given for upgradation of libraries and other issues connected with it. During the meeting, suggestions were received from members and Sailajanath assured that necessary steps will be initiated for attending  all suggestions on priority. Chandana Khan, special chief secretary to government, School Education (PE&SSA) Department, Turlapati Kutumba Rao, chairman, Andhra Pradesh Grandhalaya Samstha, Pullaiah, director of public libraries and  A Sudhakar Yadav and others attended the meeting.
