HYDERABAD: Tollywood actress Tara Chowdary, who was arrested on the charges of forcing a woman into prostitution, on Wednesday told a local court that Banjara Hills ACP E Shanker Reddy had harassed her sexually and asked her to ‘come into his chambers’ during her 4-day police custody.

The court gave 4-day custody of Tara to the Banjara Hills police. She was produced before the Third Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate in the Nampally Criminal Courts Complex on Wednesday. When the Magistrate asked Tara Chowdary whether she faced any problems during her custody, the actress alleged that she was sexually harassed by the police. The ACP asked me to come inside his chambers on the first floor and sought sexual favours, she said. Banjara Hills inspector M Sudershan too harassed her, she told court. She was remanded to judicial custody till April 13.
