HYDERABAD: A quarrel between newly weds led to the murder of the wife by her husband. Police suspect that the husband first tried to electrocute his 18-year-old wife using live wires and finally finished the job by hitting her head with an iron rod.

The murder took place at their house in Kishanbagh locality of Rajendranagar on Monday.  Police said, Yasmin Begum and Mohammed Majid, who is an autodriver got married five months ago. On Monday morning, one of Yasmin’s cousins found her  lying in a pool of blood. Neighbours called the police.  Police said that they suspect the victim’s husband might be the perpetrator and preliminary probe revealed that the victim died on the spot with the murderer hitting her with an iron rod.
