HYDERABAD: An unidentified miscreant attacked a 26-year-old nurse with a blade and molested her when she went to a school to administer polio drops at Musheerabad here on Tuesday. She was admitted to hospital with severe injuries but her condition is said to be stable.

According to police, the incident happened around 11.30 am when a team of health officials and staff visited the school as part of the Pulse Polio Immunisation programme.

P Venkata Ramana, inspector, said they had received a call around 12 noon from the health officials informing them about the attack.  They rushed to the spot and shifted the victim to the Gandhi General Hospital for treatment.

Musheerabad police registered a case against the accused under section 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons).
