City boy posts obscene videos of his girlfriend
HYDERABAD: City boy Vishal Madipalli, who recently returned home after completing his master’s degree in Science from the UK, was arrested by the Cyber Crime police in connection with uploading obscene videos of his girl friend on social networking site - Facebook. He was produced before the court and sent to remand.
According to police, the accused had an affair with a girl and he took her facebook account password. Later, he uploaded obscene videos of her on Facebook.
Cyber Crime Superintendent U Ram-mohan Rao said that the victim lodged a complaint with Cyber Crime police on April 12 regarding transmitting and publishing of obscene content and videos of her by her boy friend.
“During the course of investigation, after examination of witnesses and analysing the case technically basing on the IP log detail and subsequent end-user details, the accused Vishal Madipalli was arrested today at Ramnagar. On interrogation, the accused confessed that the victim became friends on Facebook through common friends and he initially took her password with sweet talk and started to send obscene content to her friends. Later, he blackmailed her during a video chat and forced to her to strip her clothes, for which the victim had to oblige in distress. Subsequently, he recorded a video of the same and threatened her that he will misuse her email ID Facebook account. When the victim inturn theartened him that she will file a police, he gave a false assurance that he would marry her,’’ The SP said.
Vishal further confessed that after the girl found out about his illegitimate “friendship” with multiple girls, she questioned and asked him to put an end to it. However, Vishal did not stop, which lead to the girl drifting away from him and eventually stopped talking completely. Consequently, Vishal bore grudge against the girl, and to take revenge, posted her obscene images on Google Picasa, uploaded her obscene video clippings on different social networking websites and sent the links of those posts to the girl’s group of college friends, to tarnish her reputation and damage her career.
At the instance of the accused, his laptop and a DVD which contains the aforementioned videos of the girl have been seized in the presence of mediators and Vishal has been sent for judicial remand.
