HYDERABAD: GHMC Mayor M Majid Hussain directed officials to ensure supply of adequate drinking water to people in Ahmednagar ward. As part of Prajapatham, the Mayor, along with Nampally MLA Virasat Rasool Khan and GHMC Commissioner M T Krishna Babu, visited the ward on Sunday.

He interacted with the residents of the locality and received complaints from them. Majority of the complaints related to underground drainage and drinking water supply. They said that they were getting municipal water once in three days.The Mayor and the MLA directed officials to sort out problems pertaining  to UG drainage. The Mayor directed tahsildar Chandrakala to ensure more facilities at the Girls High School in Ahmednagar.He asked officials to prepare proposals for a sub-station and a water tank near the MLA colony and Syednagar colony to ease the problems.

K Sivaparvathi (zonal Commissioner, Central),  R Dhan Singh (ENC),  P Anuradha (ACP, Parks), N Raghu Prasad (AC, Urban Community Development), L Vandhan Kumar (Additional Commissioner Health and Sanitation) and other senior officials from GHMC and HMWS&SB attended the programme.
