An ambience which resembles the African jungle, with servers dressed with face paints and special African decor, a special tribal dance performance by a team of servers and an array of unheard of delicacies from the African continent, welcome you at the “Return of Hakuna Matata - African Food Safari”, which is currently on at the Barbeque Nation.

The menu has been meticulously planned by the chefs a t Barbeque Nation along with chefs from Algeria and Kenya, wherein the Barbeques are made in aioli - a cold sauce and vinagrete a typical Brazilian condiment.

Starting off with the kebabs, the place has an all new Shish Kebab, a unique kebab marinated in herbs and Prawns-Al-Zambaliya which are prawns delicately marinated in chillies and coated with herbs.

A must try would be the innovative Fish Steak with Orange, which is grilled fish with a slice of orange that gives it a pleasant taste and aroma.

However, stealing all the spotlight is the Peri Peri Drumstick, an extremely spicy dish made with chicken drumsticks marinated in herbs, garlic and the hot pere pere chillies.

Other options available on the menu are Lime and Chilly Pineapple Chicken and Grilled Fish Calvados.

Not just this, the vegetarians also have a lot of surprises.

Vegetables rubbed with Ras El Hanout, a popular Moroccan blend of spices, along with Harissa sauce, Mushroom Steak with Corn and Fiere Fiery Soya Glutten.

The bar offers special African drinks like Nzuri Sana, Sparkling Tammi Assa, Tanzanian Parakeet in mocktails and Congo Shot, African Tango and Sahara Warmth in mocktail.

A special cocktail on the name of the festival has been prepared which is a mixture of vodka, tequila, sambuca with mango and pineapple juice.

And, fianlly the dessert! The special African Ghana Banana is made by slicing a banana, stuffing it with chocolate and then grilling it, which is an absolute delight for chocolate lovers.

The cuisine has been altered a bit to suit the taste palates of Hyderabadis without losing the authenticity of the African seasonings and flavours.

The “Return of Hakuna Matata” is sure to tantalize your taste buds in authentic African way with all its varied sauces, herbs and spices.

The festival is on till April 29.
