HYDERABAD: Police arrested a pearl trader who was involved in thefts in various temples in the city.
According to police, Emani Ram Pawan alias Rambabu, a resident of Nacharam, visits temples and robs things while the priest is busy performing pooja.
Police said that the accused moves on a Pulsar bike in the early hours to the temples. He selects temples where there are less number of devotees and steals silver plates and other articles. Earlier, he was arrested by Kukatpally police.
He confessed to committing the crime in 13 places. Nampally police arrested him when he was disposing silver plates at Begum Bazar.
