HYDERABAD: Noted educationist and MLC Chukka Ramaiah, whose name is synonymous with IIT coaching, said the senior Intermediate physics question paper only tested the basics. The questions were neither out of syllabus nor tough, he said.

Stating that he observed the question paper pattern closely for the last 10 years, he said the person who prepared the question paper this year had gone through the textbook before setting the questions, which his predecessors did not do in the last 10 years.

Welcoming the kind of questions, Ramaiah told Express that such questions will make all the students, even those studying in corporate colleges, to follow textbooks which put the students’ basics right.

Those who set the question papers before may have followed the material prepared by corporate colleges or may have been influenced by them, he said. Corporate colleges in the state are preparing students to secure top ranks by teaching them in a pattern.
