HYDERABAD: A 36-yearold homemaker committed suicide and a 22-yearold student was hospitalised with serious injuries after falling from her apartment building on PG Road in Secunderabad on Sunday.

According to police, depressed over the death of her three-year-old son, A Sunita (36), belonging to Lalapet, ended her life by setting herself ablaze when she was alone in the house on Sunday. With critical burns, she died on the spot. Sunita is survived by her husband and a twoyear- old son.

In the other case, Reena, an M.A. (Finance) student, jumped from a balcony in the fourth floor of Kokala Apartments on PG Road, where she lives with her family on Sunday evening.

Daughter of businessman Rajesh, Reena sustained severe injuries and she has been rushed to a nearby corporate hospital. Her condition is said to be critical. The reason for the extreme act is not known, Ramgopalpet inspector V Raja Rao said.
