HYDERABAD: An Intermediate student, who kidnapped two boys in the past one week but failed to get any ransom, was nabbed by the Task Force sleuths here on Tuesday. The youth, who had fled home in Prakasam district, kidnapped a Class I student and a Class VIII student, and tried to extort money from their parents.

The 17-year youth hails from Bommalingam village in Ardhaveedu mandal in Prakasam district, and is studying Intermediate (MPC) second year in Prakasam district.

Police said the accused, the only son of a carpenter Chinna Krishna, was irregular in attending college and, fearing his father, ran away from home. As he had no money, he planned to hold minor boys for ransom. Task Force traced him to a lodge in Shadnagar where they rescued the victims.
