HYDERABAD: In a joint operation by sleuths of the Task Force and Indian Music Industry (IMI), a businessman was nabbed and a number of mobile phone memory cards and machinery recovered from him.

The IMI representatives and the Task Force sleuths raided a shop at Gandhi Nagar and nabbed B Tirupathi Reddy. In September last, he started the business of uploading and recording audio, video songs of latest Telugu and Hindi films, ring tones and images into mobile phone memory cards. “He bought empty memory cards for Rs 100 and after uploading the content and sold them to cell phone shopkeepers for Rs 150 to Rs 200.’’
