HYDERABAD: One of the two accused involved in posting obscene content on networking portals, was awarded one- year imprisonment on Saturday and asked to pay a fine of Rs 12,000 while the other was sent to judicial remand by the sixth chief additional metropolitan magistrate, Nampally.

Crime Investigation Department (CID) officials had arrested two persons a few days ago for posting obscene content and pictures of the victims on networking portals and produced them in the court.

Sanaulla Fiasal, a resident of Khilwat, had posted obscene profile and comments on his former wife in online matrimonial advertisements with her photos taken when they were leading married life and also sent emails with obscene content to her family members.

Basing on the technical evidence, CID police arrested him and seized a camera and a computer from him.

The court convicted him and sentenced him to one-year imprisonment and a penalty of Rs 12,000.

In the other case, the accused posted her friend's obscene photographs on networking sites creating separate profile of her.

The accused, T Satish, a resident of Bengaluru and the victim were colleagues while they were working in an MNC in Hyderabad.

Taking advantage of his friendship with her, Satish blackmailed her and made her agree to marry him.

Subsequently, he managed to take some obscene photographs of the victim by threatening her.

Offended by his unethical moves, she distanced herself from him.

This made him bear a grudge against her.

He hacked her email and transmitted her obscene pictures to the contacts list.

Further, he created an account in her name on Facebook and posted her pictures on it.
