HYDERABAD: A division bench of the High Court on Monday expressed displeasure at the attitude of the GHMC authorities towards controlling the mosquito menace and in maintaining hygienic conditions in the city. Dealing with a writ petition filed by Wasim Ahmed Khan, the bench directed the GHMC and others to submit an action plan for cleaning up the city. On seeing the photos of garbage dumps and stagnated water, the bench said, "Hyderabad is slowly turning into a dirty city. Most funds are found to have been spent on salaries while antimalarial equipment is nonfunctional."
