HYDERABAD: A person on Sunday stabbed a youth at Kushaiguda, suspecting that the latter was in love with a girl who he planned to marry.

According to information, the injured, Ramchander (22) , was staying in a house at BJR Colony in Jammigadda where a woman, Yashoda, stays along with her two daughters -- one of them is 17-year-old. The accused, Kumaraswamy (35), a distant relative of Yashoda, wanted to marry the 17-year daughter of the woman.

But, both the mother and daughter has been reluctant to the proposal. Kumaraswamy wanted to marry the girl since his wife deserted him three years ago. Kumaraswamy, who works in a tent house, suspected that the girl was in love with Ramchander and was reluctant to marry him. He decided to eliminate Ramchander. Kumaraswamy attacked him with a knife on Sunday and fled away from the scene. Injured Ramchander was shifted to a hospital . A case of attempt to murder was registered and investigation is on.
