HYDERABAD: In a shocking incident, a man killed his wife suspecting her fidelity and later tried to end his life at Alwal on Wednesday.  According to police, Rajesh (28) , a driver by profession, was married to one Aishwarya (19) in May last year. They were residing in a rented house at Arundathi Nagar in Jawahar Nagar under the Alwal police limits. Rajesh’s parents also live in the neighbouring house.

On Wednesday morning, when Rajesh’s mother, Sayamma, came knocking the door of her son’s house, Rajesh opened the door with blood oozing out of his throat that was slit by a sharp weapon.

Sayamma, with the help of locals, rushed Rajesh to a hospital. When the neighbours entered inside the house, they found Aishwarya lying dead in a room.

Alwal police said, Rajesh used to quarrel with his wife frequently, suspecting her fidelity. He might have strangled his wife to death following a heated argument and later, tried to end his life. The condition of Rajesh, who is being treated at the Gandhi General Hospital, is said to be stable. Police registered a case of murder and investigating.
