One need not even register or get an ID. Once you book an appointment, you get instant confirmation and notification either on your mobile or mail box.

What more, it is free.

This user-friendly service was launched in the city for the first time by the citybased Film Flower Media Solutions. Launching the service here on Sunday, company director VUM Rao said that citizens could also get comprehensive healthcare information from their other websites, www.hyderabadhospitals.

com and www.

allindiahospitals.com. There are about 40 super specialty and major hospitals in the twin cities and nearly 30,000 people visit them every day.

However, what forces people to do the rounds to the hospitals is the shortage of specialists. There are well over 10,000 doctors in the State capital but of them only about 2,000 are specialists.

The online appointment service, however, doesn’t cater to emergency cases.

Of the three websites, hyderabadhospitals. com, a ready reckoner, is a dedicated bilingual repository of healthcare information on big corporate hospitals, government hospitals as well as small clinics in different parts of the city. The allindiahospitals.com provides information statewise, specialtywise and areawise so that users can easily locate a hospital according to their specific needs.

Explaining the rationale behind launching the websites, Rao said, “our mission is to present wholesome information in a localised layout for online users so that they can find and access information immediately and instantly.”
