HYDERABAD: Six college students, punch drunk and riding two-wheelers, created terror in colonies near Osmania University in the wee hours of Tuesday.

Armed with sticks, they broke the windshields of 12 cars parked in the streets of Green Hills and Ravindra Nagar.

They also hurled stones on the vehicles which were parked by the owners outside their homes.

The vehicle’s cleaner, Tirupati, who was sleeping in the house, rushed out on hearing the commotion and tried to stop them.

“The resistance only made the youngsters more savage and assault Tirupati,’’ Osmania University police said.

Alerted by locals, police launched a hunt for the rampaging younth and nabbed two of them at their homes after tracking them down with the help of their vehicle registration numbers.

The two bikes were seized.

Search is on for the other miscreants.
