What can be a the best way to pay a tribute to a story-teller? Tell his story! The muchawaited biography of Uncle Pai, “Anant Pai - The Master Storyteller” will hit the book stands by February 24 at a price of Rs 50, marking his first death anniversary.

The Amar Chitra Katha title on the Uncle Pai will also be available on the Apple App store.

The 32-page comics biograohy took 11 months to compile and has been researched and scripted bu Gayathri Chnandreshakaran, who worked with Anant Pai as an assistant editor of Tinkle.

Anant Pai, known as the Walt Disney of India, strode the Indian comics industry like a colossus.

He told stories from mythology, history and literature to generations of children, using the comic book format.

Anant Pai gave up his job, to follow his dream and created Amar Chitra Katha and Tinkle.

It has been illustrated in the traditional Amar Chitra Katha style by Dilip Kadam, the artist behind many loved works, including the best-selling, 42-volume Mahabharata
