Suresh Krishna’s Baashha made Rajnikanth a superstar and a demigod for movie-lovers across the world, courtesy his punch lines and inimitable mannerisms.

The 1995-released action thriller was not just a box-office sensation but also created an impact on the politics of those times.

The film showcased superstar Rajini as a humble auto driver who later on becomes a don (Manik Baashha) to confront mafia don Antony (Raghuvaran).

Now, the latest buzz is that the director is mooting to make a sequel to the blockbuster flick, but in Kannada.

Baashha was remade in Kannada as Kotigobba with Vishnuvardhan in the lead and it had set the cash registers ringing at the BO.

The sequel will be casting ‘Kichcha’ Sudeep as hero and the project is still under the stage of discussions.

There are also chances of it getting dubbed into Telugu since Baashha was a roaring hit here too.

An actor, producer and director himself, Sudeep is a matinee idol for the Sandalwood audiences and he is playing a baddie in SS Rajamouli’s scientific-fiction Eega, costarring Nani and Samantha, set to hit the screens this summer
