HYDERABAD: The much-hyped District Selection Committee (DSC)notification for recruiting teachers in state government schools will be further delayed as the Commissioner and Director of School Education is waiting for the vacancies to be notified by Rastriya Madyamika Siksha Abhiyan (RMSA) and Sarva Siksha Abhiyan (SSA).

Speaking to Express, a source in the Department of School Education said that as of now, they have got approvals for only 11,700 posts, including posts of Second Grade Teachers (SGT) and schools assistants (SA).

The department is the competent authority to issue notification to recruit teachers in the state. The RMSA and SSA were preparing to send the vacancies to be notified in the same notification to the school education department.

Decks have been cleared to recruit for more than 7,000 teaching and administrative posts in 355 model school to be set up in the state in the coming  academic year.
