HYDERABAD: The state government has approved the proposal of APTransco to purchase additional 1,000 mw power to meet the power requirement from January to May amounting to Rs 1,083 crore. Apart from this, to meet the future demands, the government has suggested to APGenco to achieve maximum generation in the next 2 to 4 years.
Energy secretary Dinesh Kumar in a press release said in view of the increasing demand, power utilities may impose restrictions on its consumers from January to May.
The proposed restriction and control (R C) measures by Discoms would be discussed during the public hearing on January 11 by APERC.
