HYDERABAD: BEd students organised a massive Chalo Hyderabad programme on Wednesday demanding the state government fill 100 per cent of school assistant posts with BEd candidates.
According to GO 7, the department of school education will fill 70 per cent vacant SA posts through promotions and the remaining through direct recruitment.
Speaking at a massive dharna at Indira Park, Backward Classes Welfare Association president R Krishnaiah said the government has done massive injustice to BEd students by filling up only 30 per cent posts through direct recruitment.
He said they would intensify the stir until the government decided to recruit only BEd candidates for the posts of school assistants.
