HYDERABAD: Justices N R L Nageswara Rao, P Durga Prasad, K G Shankar and N Ravi Shankar were sworn in as permanent judges of the AP High Court on Thursday.

They had been functioning in the capacity of additional judges sine Nov 2010.

Chief justice Madan B Lokur administered the oath to them at 10.15 am.

The ceremony was attended by many judges and lawyers.

Justice Nageswara N Rao, a native of Narasaraopet in Guntur district, was enrolled as an advocate in 1973 and became a district judge in 1995.

Justice Durga Prasad (Machilipatnam) enrolled in 1975 and became a district judge in 1995 while Justice Shankar (Nellore) enrolled in 1976 and became a district judge in 1995.

Justice N Ravi Shankar (Hyderabad) enrolled in 1975 and became a district judge in 1995.
